The conference of European Socialist parties declared its support for the Marshall Plan and regretted the, re- " fusal of Russia 'and her satellite coun- ' tries to participate in the European recovery programme. *■' The conference decided that Socialist parties should not take part in the " r "‘United Europe” congress at The Hague next May. but pledged support for the conference of Socialist parties in Paris on April 25 to co-ordinate ef forts towards a United States of Europe.
