DEATH OF FARMER
SUCCESSFUL CAREER (P.A.) GORE, March 15. The death has occurred of Mr. George Pinckney, aged 85 years, Glenarary station, Waikaia Born in England, Mr. Pinckney took over Glenaray in 1898, the station being subsequently developed to the third largest in.jNew Zealand. Annual drafts of sheep increased from 700 to 6000 and a carrying capacity to 30,000 sheep. Mr. Pinckney i s survived bv his wife, formerly Miss Edith Tripp, Orari Gorge, a family of nine, 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
