CRICKET POSTPONED
GISBORNE GAMES Following an inspection of the Oval at- 11.15 a.m., the grounds committee of the P-B. Cricket Association decided to postpone all competition games to have been played on the Gisborne grounds this afternoon, the wickets, as a result of the all-night rain and the continuing fall, being unfit for play.
£107,072 FROM HEALTH STAMPS.— The highest total ever achieved in any health stamp campaign was reached in the 1947-48 campaign, stamps to-the value of £107.072 being sold.
