NORTH CROYDON SEAT
HELD BY CONSERVATIVES (11 a.m.) LONDON. March 12. The North Croydon by-election resulted: Mr. F. W. Harris (Corn), 36,200; Mr. Harold Nicolson (Lab), 24,030; Air Vice-Marshal Bennett, 6321. The vacancy was due to Mr. H. U. Willink’s resignation. Seventy-five per cent of the electorate voted. Air Vice-Marshal Bennett forfeits his deposit.
