Majestic.—Warner Bros.. newest film drama, "Nobody Lives Forever,” provides John Garfield with a role which should go far toward pleasing his staunchest fans. The popular screen "toughie," co-starred in the picture with Geraldine Fitzgerald, portrays a rugged and ready army veteran struggling to rc-estaldish himself as a "biggie” in American rackets, a role peculiarly suited to the Garfield talents. The cast includes Walter Brennan, Fayo Emerson, and George Tobias. King’s.—No one should miss "The Best Years Of Our Lives," which is being screened at the King’s Theatre, for it ranks among the finest pictures that have come out of Hollywood. Regent Kathryn Grayson who scored a great hit in "Anchors Awcigli,” is starred by M.G.M. in the new musical, "It Happened in Brooklyn,” now showing at the Regent, with Peter Lawford, Jimmy Durante, and Frank Sinatra other members of the cast. Miss Grayson plays the part of a school teacher with a golden voice and a heart to match. Jimmy Durante is a lovable school janitor and Peter Lawford plays an English nobleman who decides to invade Brooklyn. Song numbers include “The Brooklyn Bridge,” “Time After Time,” "I Believe,” "Whose Baby Are You?” “The Song’s Gotta Come from the Heart” and "It’s the Same Old Dream.”
