PARAMATA FAREWELL (Herald Correspondent.) A representative gathering of residents of the Paramata Valley last Saturday evening farewelled Mr .and Mrs. C. U. O'Connell, who have since left for their new home in Nelson. A pleasant evening was spent. Competitions were won by Mesdames C. U. O Connell and I. E. Robinson and Messrs. F. J. Meadows, I. James and W. M. O’Connell. After a delicious buffet supper, Mrs. E. Kelly spoke on behalf of those present and presented Mr. and Mrs O'Connell with an electric jug. Mr. O'Connell suitably replied. Mrs. J. L. Mountford, Gisborne, was among those present.
