Collision Sequel
The sequel to a collision between a motor cycle and a truck near the Kaiti bridge on December 19 was heard in the Magistrate’s Court at Gisborne yesterday when the motor cyclist, George Priest Wharehinga, was charged with driving without due care and attention. Wharehinga had swerved from behind a car he was following and. on moving on to the wrong side of the road, had collided with an approaching truck, said Sergeant R Griffith. Defendant was fined £2 and costs 18s, and 10s and costs 10s on a further charge of having no warrant of fitness for his machine.
