Hedge Clippings Nuisance
The nuisance created by hedge-clip-pings left lying on footpaths outside residential properties in various parts of Gisborne has been the subject ot complaint by cyclists and others. A suggestion has been made that by-laws governing the clearing of footways m particular should be enforced by the Gisborne Borough Council. City Band Piacings Three members of the Gisborne City Band who took part in solo competitions at the recent brass bands contest held in Dunedin finished well up in their respective classes. In the euphonium solo Bandsman W. Harris was placed eighth in a large Class. Bandsman S. Priday placed ninth in the E flat bass solo, and Bandsman R. Sullivan eleventh in the sclo, any instrument, for undar 17 years.
