BOTANIST’S VISIT
RESEARCH IN DOMINION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 9. Professor T. Levring, professor of botany at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, arrived in Wellington today by the Wahine from Australia to carry out research work on marine botanic growth. For several years he has communicated and exchanged information on marine growth with Miss L. Moore, of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, and Mr. B. Lindauer, Russell. Most of Professor Levring's two months in New Zealand will be spent on the coast collecting and examining marine specimens. 'He has also been asked to lecture at Victoria and Auckland University Colleges and at Otago University. Mrs. Levring has accompanied her husband to New Zealand to assist him in his work.
