MEDICAL STUDENT BENDIGO £IOOO RACE SYDNEY, March 9. A medical student, John Stoney, aged 21, won the Bendigo £IOOO in the second fastest time ever recorded for a professional handicap in Australia. He won by a yard from P. McKeown in 11.7 seconds for 130 yards. Stoney will use the £BOO first prize to buy medical equipment when he graduates.
