WOMEN'S MARCHING TITLE (P.A.) DUNEDIN, Feb. 26. A crowd of almost 10,000 people saw the Hastings police team win the 1948 New Zealand women’s marching championships at Carisbrook Park yesterday afternoon. Charming uniforms and the perfect bearing of the winners made them popular favourites with the crowd. The trophy for the best leader was won by Mrs. N. R. Muncaster, Arawa (Nelson), whose team, although the South Island champions, failed to obtain a place in the first three. Results: Championship March.
