RETRIAL OF HASKELL

MURDER ALLEGATION P.A.) _ AUCKLAND, Feb. 25. The retrial of Pansy Louise Frances faskell, aged 49, who was charged with ho murder of Gladys Ruth Rusden on rune 5 of last year opened in the Sup•ome Court today.

The jury failed to agree at the first trial before Mr. Justice Callan which was held in November and lasted for nine days. Mrs. Rusden was found dead with head wounds in the kitchenette of her home at Horotutu road, One Tree I-lill-The retrial is being heard before Mr. Justice Finlay. The Crown prosecutor, Mr. V. R. Meredith, and Mr. G. D. Speight, are conducting the case for

the Crown. The accused is represented by Mr. M. Robinson and Mr. N. J.
