MAY FORM MINISTRY

EX-PREMIER COSGROVE ATTACK BY OPPOSITION HOBART, Feb. 25. The Leader of the Opposition, Mr Campbell, last night moved a no-confi-dence motion against the Labour Government because of the alleged misuse of its secret fund. The House of Assembly will debate the motion tonight. The former Premier, Mr R. Cosgrove, said: “It is a foregone conclusion that the motion will fail.” Prior to Mr Campbell giving notice of his motion an Independent member moved for a royal commission into the funds of all political parties in Tasmania. Mr Cosgrove stated later that as a result of these moves he might form a new Ministry today so that he can lead the Government as Premier against the Opposition attack.
