NOTICE is hereby given that at the Special Meeting of the Cook County Council held on Thursday, 22nd day of January, 1948, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be field on Thursday, 26th February. 1948, at 9.45 a.m., at the Council Chambers, Childers Road, Gisborne. NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board held on Friday, the 30th day of January, 1948, the following resolution, of which due notice had been given, was passed, viz.: “In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and the Electric-Power Board Act, 1925, and amendments, and in pursuance of the terms set out in an Order-in-Council dated 10th day of December, 1947, whereunder consent to the raising of a Renewal Loan of £20,000 has been given, the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: That for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of portion (£35,000) of the Extension Loan, 1930, of £78,000, the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board hereby authorises the raising of a loan of twenty thousand pounds, to be known as the “Renewal Loan 1948” at an interest rate of three pounds two shillings and sixpence per centum per annum for a period of 10 years, the said loan or any part thereof to be repaid by equal halfyearly instalments of principal extending over the term of the said loan.” And notice is hereby given that the above resolution will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board to be held on Friday, the 27th day of February, 1948, at the Board's Office, Peel Street, Gisborne, at 10 a.m. Dated this 2nd day of February, 1948.
