TRAM HOLD-UP THREAT
VITAL SUPPLIES LACKING (P-A.) AUCKLAND. Nov. 15
Unless the Auckland Transport Board is able to obtain supplies of certain materials in the comparatively near future some trams will have to be withdrawn from the service. This statement was made by the board’s manager, Mr. C. R. Gribble, who added that he had communicated with the Minister of Supply, Mr. A. H. Nordmeyer.
It might well be that the question of priorities would have to be revised, Mr. Gribble said.
