SUCCESSES TN MANCHURIA (9 a.m.) NANKING. Sept. 28. Pro-Government reports states that Nationalist troops routed Communist forces assaulting Chinhsi, in the southwest .of Manchuria. Observers believe however, that in cutting the Peiking-Mukden. railway 30 miles south-west of the Great Wall thereby .neutralising , the Government’s supply, port of Hututao, the Communists obtained an advantage in the first phase of the latest battle for Manchuria .. • Pro-Government reports claim that Nationalist forces have captured the Communist supply port of Lungkow, 60 miles westward of the important Communist base of Chefoo.
