It is also proposed to hold the following examinations on 29th November, IN CENTRES WHERE THERE ARE SUFFICIENT CANDIDATES: INTERMEDIATE EXAMINATION.— Shorthand 130 words a minute; typewriting 50 words a minute. Entrants must have previously passed the Senior Examination. SPECIAL EXAMINATION: Shorthand 150 words a minute; typewriting 50 words a minute. Entrants must have previously passed the Intermediate Examination. Exception is made only where the Commisison is satisfied that candidates who have not passed any Public Service examination for Shorthand-typists are up to the standard of the examination below the one entered for. Each case will be dealt with on its merits. SHORTHAND REPORTERS’ EXAMINATION:—Shorthand 150-180 words a minute with not more than one per cent error in transcript.
