BULLION DISAPPEARS
COFF’S HARBOUR TRAIN THEFTS IN AUSTRALIA (9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 19. A bullion case consigned to the Coff’s Harbour branch of the Commercial Bank of Australia and containing £IOO in florins disappeared from the north coast mail train after it had reached Coff's Harbour. The consignment note was delivered, but the case could not be found, though it was actually seen on the train after reaching Coff’s Harbour. Railway detectives say that over £200,000 worth of goods disappeared from the New South Wales railways during the past year, of which £ 106,000 was lost on the north coast line.
