OLD BOYS CHAMPIONS

With two games in hand and a margin of three championship points, Old Boys have been declared the winners of the season’s senior competition of the P.B. Rugby Union. The announcement was made formally at this week’s meeting of the union management committee. Celtic, who have one game to complete the series, were declared the runners-up. Championship points to the credit of the six teams arc: Old Bovs , 21: Celtic, 18; Marist, 14; H. 5.0.8., II; Kiwis, 7; Y.M.P. nil.

The two teams entered by Old Boys took third and sixth positions respectively among the nine who contested the junior division and in the third grade the club team took third place.
