OBITUARY
MR. W. R. CLARK The death of Mr. W. R. (Scotty) Clark at Hastings on Friday removed a Digger of the First N.Z.E.F, who had always taken a keen interest in the welfare of ex-servicemen Mr. Clark will be well remembered by Gisborne ex-members of the Wellington Mounted Rifles, as it was he who took a leading part in the organisation of the large Hawke’s Bay contingent who visited Gisborne for ’he reunion of the rifle veterans some time ago. Fie had been employed in business at Hastings for a number of years on His return from the 1914-18 war. In this conflict he sailed with the Fifth Remforcements of the Wellington Mounted Rifles and remained with the unit throughout the campaigns on Gallipoii and in Palestine.
