JAPANESE TALKS NO LINE-UP INTENDED REPORT TO PARLIAMENT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 25. While he had a general conception of the views of the United Kingdom, Australia and the other Dominions on the proposed Japanese peace treaty, he was not well enough posted to express any opinions at the moment, said the Prime Minister, Mr. P. Fraser, who left by air for Australia yesterday to attend the peace treaty conference at Canben’a. Mr. Fraser intimated that he would report to Parliament on his return. No actual decisions would be made at the conference. A point he desired to stress very strongly was that there was no proposal to line up the British Commonwealth of Nations against any other nation, group, line of thought, or action. "We are going to discuss the peace treaty entirely from the point of view of what will be best in securing peace and co-operation among the nations of the Pacific,” he said. "We will also attempt to prevent any further preparations for war on the part of Japan, and to limit and supervise the potentiality of her war machine and direct her industries in the path of peace and human welfare.”
