COLLAPSE ON FIELD
RUGBY PLAYER'S DEATH (P.A.) WANGANUI, Aug. 25. Playing in the Kaierau junior team at Ratana on Saturday, a young man collapsed and died shortly afterwards from what were believed to have been natural causes. lie was:
Mr. Trevor James Lockett, aged 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lockett, of Wanganui.
He was moving lip to a line-out, play having stopped because the ball was in touch, when he collapsed. He received attention from the St. John Ambulance, but died within a few minutes.
Mr. Lockett served with the 25th Battalion, 2nd N.Z.E.F-. overseas.
