S. ISLAND POWER SUPPLY (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Aug. 11. “The electric supply position in the South Island is continuing to improve, due to the generally mild conditions.’' said the Minister of Works, Mr. R. Semple. today. The available storage of water for use over the next seven weexs had increased, with the result that the electricity controller had advised the supply authorities of a further 10 per cent, increase in the weekly allocations, bringing the available supply of power up to the 19-16 level.
