REPARATIONS FOR DAMAGE FOREIGNERS’ PROPERTY (10 a.m.) BATAVIA, Aug. 11. Foreign property destroyed, lost or damaged as a result of militaiy action or activities of agents-provocateurs or irresponsible elements would be restoied or repaid to the rightful owners, said a Republican Government statement issued today. The foreigners included Chinese. . ~ , To prevent suspicion inside and outside the Republic, the Government wanted to declare that all citizens and foreigners in Republican territori were under the protection of Republican laws without racial discrimination.
