STRING ORCHESTRA
On August 6 the instrumental group of the BAI.S. in Gisborne arranged a very enjoyable programme and members especially appreciated selections by the new B.M.S. string orchestra conducted by Mr. L. Strachan. Other items were given by Miss Matthewson, Mr T. Lyle, violin solos; Mr. W. Cooper, euphonium solos; Mr- P. Hockley, songs, accompanied by Mrs. H. O. McFarlane, with obligato by Mr. I-I. O. McFarlane. Mr. Strachan arranged the_ quiz session, and the evening concluded with two selections by the orchestra.
