INDIAN ANTIPATHY
FOREIGN TROOPS IN ASIA CRITICISM OF HOLLAND (n a.m.) NEW DELHI. Aug. 10. “Let me make it clear—we will not tolerate foreign armies operating in Asiatic countries,” said Mr. Nehru, loader cf the Government of India, in a pm s interview. The exploitation of India had given some foreign Powers the excuse to dominate nations in Asia, and some small countries were kept under British control because they happened to be on the way from England to India, he said.
The Dutch had no right to keep troops in Indonesia. Holland, who failed to protect herself only a few years ago, had not the right to reinstate herself as an imperialistic nation. Mr. Nehru added that India was sure to play a significant role in international politics.
