BRITISH ACCUSED
SURRENDER TO ARABS CONTROL IN PALESTINE (10 a.m.) GENEVA. Aug. 9. The Jewish Agency, replying to the Palestine Government’s memorandum to the United Nations’ special committee on Palestine, accused the British administration of constantly surrendering to Arab intimidation, interpreting the mandate in favour of the Arabs and constituting itself the guardian of the old order invested with the task of curbing the growth of a national home for the Jews.
The Palestine Government’s memorandum accused the Jews of using organised lawlessness to ensure that nothing stood in the way of a Jewish State and free Jewish immigrafion to Palestine.
