CUT IN ARMY COSTS
FRENCH COMMUNISTS' VIEW PARIS, May 1. The Communist leader, M. Thorez, told massed demonstrators in the Place de la Concorde today that France must have a reduction in prices, which meant a lowering cost of administration, “mainly by the reduction of military expenditure," Referring to the colonies, M. Thorez said France must not use hei forces against the liberties of any peoples. The workers did not Want a colonial war.
