CAR STRUCK BY EXPRESS
ELDERLY MAN INJURED (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, May 3. Serious injuries were suffered by Mr. Robert Thompson, aged 74, Invercargill, when the car he was driving was struck by the southbound express at Inglewood level crossing yesterday afternoon. Mr. Thompson was admitted to the Southland Hospital. His condition last night was serious. Mrs. Thompson was uninjured.
