YEAR’S PRISON TERM
BRITISH UNRRA OFFICER THEFT OF SUPPLIES HAMBURG, April 30. The British Control Commission’s High Court at Luneburg sentenced a British UNRRA supply and transport officer. John Stepney, to 12 months’ imprisonment for the theft of £4OOO worth of clothing, coal and cigarettes. The judge said that such offences were becoming too common. Therefore he had to pass an exemplary sentence.
