COMPENSATION AWARD
DEAD MINERS' FAMILIES 11,10 a.m.) NEW YORK. May 1. The Illinois State Industrial Commission chairman, Mr. William Kaiser, announced to-day that a total of 530.120 dollars of compensation payments had been awarded to the families of 111 men who perished in the Centralia coal mine disaster on March 25. Details of the payments, he added, had not yet been decided, but each family would receive approximately 4775 ‘dollars.
