AUCKLAND INVESTITURE

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 2. For distinguished war service, members of the New Zealand armed forces were honoured at an investiture held at Government House yesterday by the Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg. Festooned with flags of the British Empire and the Allied nations, the ballroom. which was crowded with relatives and friends of the recipients, who were wearing service dress, presented a colourful scene. With His Excellency on the dais was Lady Freyberg.
