Any extension of time for crutching to cover time lost by reason of wet weather must be referred to the following persons in the areas named and MUST NOT be referred direct to the Power Board. COUNTRY consumers are notified that by agreement with the Gisborne Branch of the Federated Farmers of New Zealand, arrangements have been made to meet the minimum needs of sheepfarmers in connection with an electric power supply for crutching purposes. . Feeders will be dealt with in the order set out below, and for the period specified for each feeder there will be no cuts during the daytime. The usual evening and night cuts will still apply. For example for the period May sth to May 11th inclusive on the Te Karaka feeder, the electricity cuts will be 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. and 9.45 p.m. to 11.15 p.m. only. There will be no daytime cuts. On May 12th the full power cuts will be restored to the Te Karaka Feeder, and the next feeder in rotation will have the day cuts removed and so on. The following is the order in which feeders will be dealt with:— FEEDER: PERIOD: Te Karaka — May sth to 11th inclusive. Muriwai and Te Arai— May 12th to 18th inclusive. Waipaoa— May 19th to 25th inclusive. Waimata— May 26th to June Ist inclusive. Ngatapa— June 2nd to June Bth inclusive. In the event of wet weather preventing crutching work being carried out, an extension not exceeding three days may be granted on the feeder concerned, but ail requests for such extension must be made through the local office of the Federated Farmers of New Zealand. Any extension so granted will not affect 'the dates allocated to the feeder next in rotation. All country consumers are requested to use as little electricity as possible for domestic purposes during the above periods. R. P.
