CLASHES ON CRETE
LEFT-WING EXTREMISTS FIVE POLICEMEN KILLED (11 a.m.) ATHENS, April 29. Five policemen were killed yesterday in western Crete during a clash with left wing supporters who, in the last six days’ have attacked more than hail a dozen police stations. The Government, as a result of clashes, has decided to send a military observer to report on the situation.
