FAST EXPRESS DERAILED
30 PASSENGERS INJURED ’l6 COACHES LEAVE LINE (10 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 28. A report from Ontario, California, says that about 30 passengers were injured when 16 cars of the Southern Pacific Railroad’s Argonaut express, bound for New Orleans, was derailed. Only the engine and the first two cars remained on the track. The train was travelling at an estimated speed of 65 miles an hour when it was derailed. Three hundred yards of track were ripped up. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
