PIANISTS MEET
Last Wednesday the piano group of the British Music Society held its monthly meeting. Miss L. Brook was the convener for the evening. A sho:*t business meeting was held first, and then followed a most enjoyable 1 programme, which included piano solos by Mrs. Oakey, Misses Thomson, Joan Whitehead. Dorothy Wise. Tarnson Kerr and Mr. Jack Roderick; a piano duo by Misses Lucy Brook and Joan Whitehead, and a piano duet by Misses Elizabeth Baigent and Jean Angus. The guest artist for the evening was Mrs. Rutherford, who sang two delightful vocal solos. A musical quizz session was con ducted by Mr. Strachan. The evening concluded with the showing of a film "The Singing Pipes”, which dealt with £he construplipn.of.3 pipe organ.
