KAHUTIA TAKES CUP « MATCH WITH WAIROA \ Keen bowling was enjoyed on the Kahutia Bowling Club's green during the week-end when the Kahutia representatives won the Owen Cup by 2t>o points to 204 in the match against the Wairoa club. The contest was the second for the trophy which was won by Wairoa last year. Congratulations to tiie winners were voiced by the president of the Wairoa ciuo, Mr. G Buckingham, who, in handing the cup to the Kahutia president, Mr. H. Powell, also expressed appreciation ot the hospitality extended to the visitors and referred to the cordial relations existing between the two clubs. Mr. Poweli reterred to the pleasure the visit had afforded Kahutia club members and expressed the hope that lulure contests tor the cup would prove equally enjoyable. The Kahutia club final for the Owen Shield resulted in victory to G. Robinson's four by a narrow margin over that skipped by J Fulton, the scores being 2U-iB. Pick-up games were aiso played.
