DUMPED INTO RIVER
ASHES OF HIGH NAZIS GOERING AND TEN OTHERS LONDON, April 22. The Yorkshire Post publishes a message from Munich reporting that the ashes of Goering, who committed suicide, and the ten other major Nazi, war criminals executed at Nuremberg last October, were dumped into the River Isar near Munich, by four Allied generals. No aides or assistants were permitted to accompany the party and the place of disposal of the ashes has hitherto been a , secret. The cremation took place at the Ostriedhof crematorium, in the suburbs of Munich, and was carried out under careful supervision after all the German crematorium workers had been ordered to leave. After the cremation the ashes of the 11 men were placed in a large Army dustbin and then taken by a pircuitous route to the banks of the Isar. where the four supervising generals threw the dustbin in the river.
