JUDGE ACQUITTED
CONSPIRACY ALLEGATION TWO SONS CONVICTED WASHINGTON. March 24. The Federal District Court at Hamburg, Pnnsvlvania, acquitted a former federal judge, Albert Johnson, on a charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice and defraud the Government in the disposition of certain bankruptcy receivership and criminal cases handled in Johnson’s Court. The House of Representatives Judiciary Committee reported that Johnson
“sold justice in his Court.” Criminal proceedings followed, the 'case lasting four months.
The court also acquitted the judge’s .son. Captain Albert Johnson, but convicted two other sons. Donald and Miller Johnson, and also convicted two other nun. All lour were sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and fined 10.000 dollars.
