For SINGLE officers a deduction of £lO p.a. is made where quarters are provided. Free rations and an extra allowance of £ls p.a. is paid to SINGLE officers at ~Prison Farm Camps. For married officers a deduction of £3O p.a. is made-when an official residence is provided, but a house allowance of £65 p.a. will be paid when no official residence is available. Prison Officers work a 40 hour week and are paid' at overtime rates for duty performed over 40 hours per week.
