Land Sales in Hawke’s Bay

Applications dealt with by the Hawke’s Bay Land Sales Court during 1946 were well over 100 in excess of the total applications handled in 1945. Last year’s applications totalled 1800 Chicks Burned

Evidence of the extreme heat experienced at the Waikanae Beach on Tuesdav was offered one camper who returned to his tent after an all-day absence to find that a candle, left lying on a table, had melted and spread over a considerable area of the table.. Warning to Shopkeepers

A warning that all shopkeepers soiling food at controlled prices must keep themselvfes apprised of the maximum rates allowed was given by Mr. J. Morling, S.M., at Auckland. The duty of the court, he said, was to ensure that these prices were upheld by enforcing penalties provided for. Y.M.C.A. Conducted Tours

As a further proof of the popularity of the conducted holiday tour being arranged by the Gisborne Y.M.C.A., over CO boys and girls gathered for Wednesday’s visits.
