The New Zealand Wool Board has received cabled advice that at the first meeting of the Belgian advisory committee of the International Wool Secretariat. M. Andre Pelzer, a leading figure in Continental wool circles, was elected as chairman and M. H. Brunninghausen was appointed honorary secretary. M. Dr. Edgar Booth, chairman of the International Wool Secretariat, who was present, emphasised that the members of the advisory committees for Belgium, France and Holland included not only manufacturers and importers, but also representatives of the woolgrowers of those countries. Dr. Booth said an advisory committee for Czechoslovakia and one for Canada were now being formed, while a similar body had been organised in Italy. It was hoped by the secretariat that shortly wool growers and wool utilisers in all stages in every country would be linked with the secretariat to further the interests of wool throughout the world with complete impartiality.
