HYPNOTIC SLEEP
TESTS ON 8.8. C. STAFF '(11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 20. Hypnotism by television has been tried on a closed circuit in 8.8. C. studios with such success that it has b :n decided it is too dangerous to put over the air. In the first test, five out of 12 of the 8.8. C. staff who volunteered "went to sleep.” In the second test four out of six went to sleep. The hypnotist, Mr. Peter Casson, had to wake up two of these. The 8.8. C. decided the danger would lie in hypnotising persons who %vould not have a hypnotist at hand to awaken them.
