SHIP DIVERTED
AUCKLAND OMITTED PORT TOO CONGESTED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 11. On account of the congested conditions in the port of Auckland, the Hindustan, at present loading in Wellington for the Australia-China Line, will sail for Sydney to-morrow, instead of for Auckland to-day as was originally intended. Instructions to this effect, were received late yesterday from Sydney. The Hindustan has been loading in Wellington, with the Federal Steam Navigation Company as agents, since November 25. and was to have completed / loading at Auckland for the East. The vessel will be one of the first ships from New Zealand to carry cargo to China since the end of the war. She will complete loading in Australia and sail later for Shanghai, via Manila and Hong KonjL
