MINERS’ APPEAL CASE U.S. SUPREME COURT WASHINGTON, Dec. 9. The Supreme Court agreed to review the appeals by Mr. John L. Lewis and the U.M.W.A. anti fixed January 14 for the hearing of argument against convictions and fines for contempt of court. Ordinarily the appeals would first be heard by the Federal Appeals Court but, acting at the Government’s request the Supreme Court has accepted immediate jurisdiction.
