Seven persons were injured in Budapest when 5000 people, mostly women, stormed Parliament Buildings, broke down the main doors and trampled on each other in a hysterical demonstration against the acute shortage of potatoes, flour and eggs. Gaoled Seamen Released Four Canadian seamen who are under sentences of 90 days’ gaol for disobedience following a “sit-down strike” aboard the steamer Waihemo in Auckland harbour last summer, were released after the Appeal Court ruled that the four were acting as union delegates and not as ringleaders.
Commons Debate on India The Lord President of the Council, Mr. Herbert Morrison, will probably announce that a House of Commons’ debate on India will take place on Thursday or Friday, says Reuter’s lobbyist. The Opposition is seeking both days, but the Cabinet may allot one day to the German zone fusion debate.
