Making his first appearance in the American ring, the French and European middleweight champion, Marcel Cerdan, list. 51b., of Casablanca, punched his way to a points decision over Georgie Abrams, list 631b5., of Washington, described as America’s cleverest middleweight, in a closely contested 10-round bout at Madison Square Garden.
