UNPAID SERVICES

VETERINARY CLUB DIFFICULT POSITION “We cannot carry on paying 4A per cent and give them something for 2., per cent,” said the president of the Gisborne Veterinary Club, Mr. Lawson Field, last night at the December meeting of the club council when referring to the monthly statement of accounts, which showed the bank overdraft at £790 and sundry debtors at £663. He added that if the farmers were not prepared to pay their accounts by the twentieth of each month the club would have difficulty in carrying on. If members cared to chock back over the records they would find the position had been such for a considerable time. Mr. J. W. Gardner: Do you find that long-standing accounts are being paid? The secretary, Mr. A. R. TrafTord: Any we count on getting, eventually, are coming in. It was decided that no action could be taken in ihe meanwhile.
