FALL IN POPULATION TOKYO. Dec. 4. Uiro Hoshijima, Minister of Commerce and Industry, told a Liberal Party meeting that if Mr. Edwin Pauley’s reparations plan is adopted, Japan could not maintain a population of 80,000.000. “Japan’s economy would fall back to 1894. when the population was only 40,000,000.” he added.
