OCCUPATION COSTS
PAYMENT BY AUSTRIA (9.15 a.m.) LONDON. Dec. 4. The Allied Control Commission has decided to fix the cost of occupation at 15 per cent, of the Austrian Budget, compared with 25 per cent, of the current quarter. The Austrian Budget in 1947 Is expected to produce £85,500,000, of which the Allies in the first quarter will receive £3,250,000.
The Russians at present are drawing four times as much as any of the other Allies for occupation costs, bu.t in future they will receive only one-.third more than the other Allies.'
